tar.gz 압축 해제 시 not in gzip 에러

tar.gz 파일을 압축해제할 때 보통 다음 command를 이용하는데,

 

tar -zxvf [filename.tar.gz]

 

다음과 같은 에러가 뜨면서 압축해제가 안될 때가 있다.

 

 

이 경우 파일이름은 .tar.gz로 되어 있지만 gzip 포맷으로 압축되지 않았을 수 있다.

 

다음 command로 이를 확인할 수 있다.

 

file [filename.tar.gz]

 

 

파일이 tar 형식으로만 압축된 것을 확인할 수 있다.

 

따라서 이 경우 다음 command로 압축을 해제할 수 있다.

 

tar -xvf [filename.tar.gz]
